Freddie Flintoff, star of BBC's Top Gear programme took on a brave challenge during an episode broadcast in March, 2021.
The team, including fellow presenters Chris and Paddy headed out on an icy expedition across the wild Scottish Highlands in the new Land Rover Defender, Mercedes G-Wagen and Ariel Nomad, to find out the ultimate off-roader.
Freddie drove the Ariel Nomad, which is completely open to the elements and therefore needed a solution to keep him warm and him alert, therefore safe to drive. Gerbing stepped in and donated our premium jacket, heated trousers, GT gloves and heated liners for him to use, of which he was very grateful, given the conditions! These were supplied with a PDTC controller and remote, which were powered through the cigarette lighter adapter.
It does look pretty cold in these pictures, thankfully he could rely on Gerbing gear during his adventure.
